Emmett and I are profs at the same university. We are endlessly bombarded with soulless and solipsistic emails about how great AI is for teaching and that resistance is futile. It is not great and resistance is growing.
Emmett Macfarlane 🇨🇦And I think this is the problem with student use. The faculty most keen on AI - the people gleefully integrating it into their courses - are also more prone to see it as capable of more than fancy search engine stuff. So students are deceived about its true limitations.
