You're all about misreadings of the Odyssey movie now, I'm still stuck on the number of people who watched Disclosure Day and came out of it insisting the theme was "broadcast news will save everyone" and getting mad about it.

With the caveat that the review needs be well written. And addressing things in the film, not something made up external to the film that the reviewer gets mad about. (Eg "Frankenstein depicts the creature as having zero flaws" while he straight up murders people)

But the point is they still bump on anything that veers into dramatisation territory.

It's like doctors watching medical shows or lawyers watching legal dramas. All you can see is all the stuff that feels "wrong" to you.

I have a personal belief that the more a person is a nerd for something: dinosaurs, The Odyssey, etc, the less likely they are to enjoy a popular entertainment version of that thing.
