Our small dev team was initially named Soft Eyes / SoftEyes. An Amiga shooter titled Venom Wing was our first internationally distributed game, published by the British Thalamus in 1990. I made part of the graphics. The coder, Pieter ("Peter") Opdam moved to the UK to work for Team 17 (Worms, …).
The big Hoi at the right is the very first character concept sketch I made, back in 1990. Just for fun I added a caricatural "female Hoi" next to it, and added Hoi sprites as their kids. In the end, I animated this ridiculous meme-grade nonsense into Hoi's game-completed sequence, because why not? 🤡
