Lovable Truly Post Alpha Bits 1964-1969 Reacting to Post deeming Jack E. Leonard's neurotic Postman "harsh", Gene Schinto created a new postie who was so nice, not even the dog from previous ads could resist him. In season 2 of Linus the Lionhearted, however, his politeness was slightly toned down.

Postman Post Alpha Bits 1961-1963 A caricature of Jack E. Leonard who was not like other postmen as he delivered cereal letters, but was not immune to angering the neighbourhood dogs. His sardonic demeanour struck Post as "too harsh", so Gene Schinto created for them a postie who was truly lovable.
