Councilmember Eddie LinEncouraging sprawl to “protect the environment” is literally missing the forest for the trees. But I believe we can actually do both. We can see both the forests and the trees. We can save our forests and farmlands AND have a robust urban tree canopy if we work together.
It hasn't gotten much media attention but thanks to leadership from @councilmember-amr.bsky.social during phase 1 of the comp plan update, Seattle is also a member of the parking reform early adopters club!

Ryan PackerI hadn't seen this map before, clearly spelling out the fact that the biggest swaths of Seattle set to be impacted by Washington's transit-oriented development bill (at least when it comes to BRT) are in West Seattle. (Areas in green are already meeting the requirements)
