New preprint No7 - molecular architecture of the carbonyl branch enzyme in methanogens. Basically all enzymes of the pathway linked in a super assembly (2 MDa). One would expect a cryoEM study, but we miserably failed, so we used true integrative structural biology. www.biorxiv.org/cgi/content/...

Okay the lab is now really living preprints to accelerate Science. It takes so long to publish a story in journals. So the only option to talk openly about our work are preprints. We currently have 6 preprints - check them out! More coming, one currently uploading and another one ready soon.

Happy to present our latest story: the BCRII complex with the Boll and @cellarchlab.com . Months of processing by @rnfr2d2.bsky.social. Also @tomaspascoa.bsky.social and @tamb-o.bsky.social managed an in-situ tour de force. And Lena Appel did amazing biochemistry. This story has it all. Enjoy it.

The largest challenge of the day. Try to assemble 5 structural biology papers (each more than 100 pages incl. Supplements) in a single pdf with less than 15MB to upload as a document for a prize nomination for a student. Not sure compression algorithms are that good...
