this was the peak of woke 1 and the only thing I've ever thought when I hear 'wework'
amy browni'm just in a really bad place right now (a wework)
I’m so naïve I really didn’t think they would let the president sell high-level oval office information to traders for his own enrichment.

Stop saying this looks like me!!! I would never preach religion on a plane!!! I would be reading the entire book of Dungeon Crawler Carl aloud!!!
Hemant MehtaEvangelist Whitney Lynn says she preaches on planes because she loves “a captive audience.” She's not alone. It's becoming a trend. If spreading your message requires listeners who can't escape, maybe it's not as compelling as you think. www.friendlyatheist.com/p/christian-...
Feeding every student in Seattle is a goal the City Council and I share, and I am grateful we were able to work together to find a fiscally responsible path forward. Full release: https://council.seattle.gov/2026/07/28/mayor-councilmembers-agree-on-plan-to-improve-food-access-for-seattle-students/
The sword dangling over my head had lowered a touch over night. Still not close enough that I was freaking out but I could sense its movement.
Again, what right wing Republicans and Democrats call "socialism" is the sort of regulated capitalism that was consensus for much of the 20th century. They pretend it's anti-market when really it's only anti-oligarchy

ActBlue trains likely Dem voters to knee-jerk yell STOP at Dems every week for a year before they are asked to go to the polls to cast a YES vote for Dems. The cognitive dissonance of that has got to have a negative effect on turnout and support.
People will say the big 3 didn't see it coming but US auto executives knew this was happening 15 years ago and largely acted accordingly, making huge investments in EV tech and lobbying the US govt for subsidies to those investments. Then Trump got reelected and it all got thrown out the window
Reverend Genes"Well this is awkward". The US used to to make 95% of international cars. Now about 18% and falling. ICE cars are low tech, high pollution & too expensive to buy & run. US makes 5% of EVs. China makes 75%. Oops. #Time4ChangeUSA #TheTankIsEmpty #2026MidTerms ⚖️ 🇺🇸
The people who are mad a Zohran calling Netanyahu a war criminal are just using him as an avatar for what they're actually mad at - a tremendous shift in public opinion that is leaving them behind. They're yelling at him because they can't scream at the political tides.
JLRayThe latest from YouGov (n ~ 7k): some shocking numbers on major foreign policy questions Has Netanyahu committed war crimes? Yes +24 Should US arrest Netanyahu? Yes +18 Is Pentagon budget request too much/ little? Too much +47 Should US help Saudi nuclear program? No +33 yougov.com/en-us/search...

these posts are literally *always* bait, but it’s extremely funny that *all* of them end up being like “after i have set aside my savings and have paid for all of my material needs, my wants, my preferences and my desires, i have nothing left” and it’s like, yeah, correct, that’s what happens
brasidasIncome - Taxes - Expenditures - Savings = 0 someone who is good at the economy please help me budget this. my family is dying
I told glenn he *had* to check his networking libraries with a frontier model, despite of course AI being fucking horrible; it *immediately* found a huge fucking stack in years old foundational code used by tons of games.

Bluesky knew the strait of Hormuz, Graham Platner, and AIPAC democrats were all cooked months before the experts did. Meanwhile Twitter was convinced Spencer Pratt would win and the Odyssey would bomb. Which site is the not-real-life echo chamber again?
Christopher Mimsextremely funny to me that analysts whose entire job is to think about these possibilities are only now catching up to Bluesky Consensus
here’s my offer, The Atlantic magazine, I will read the next “reactionary pretends to give honest advice to Democrats” take if you let me write a piece where I, a DSA member, pretend to give honest advice to Republicans
The Atlantic“Democrats appear slow to recognize that ideologues on the left are attempting a hostile takeover of the party,” James Kirchick writes. In looking for a way to reclaim control, he argues, they could find inspiration in British history:
