well its just cos its... actually random, lol. And most things that appear random are less random than they appear.

I mean same, but it's true nonetheless haha

like you'll write something exploding into particles and think "they should just go in random directions right" run it once see every single particle go vaguely up and left and go "Oh." You'd think I'd know better by now but I'm realizing my visualization skills are surprisingly poor.

I feel like any gameplay/feel/aesthetic randomness just done via like a straight call of just random() almost always looks or feels not-right but I always have to start with that each time to work out exactly in what way it's not right lol.

the thing about trying your best is that sometimes your best fucking sucks, but crucially, trying your best entails doing right by the people you failed via learning everything you can from those failings, regardless of whether they stay in your life. important to take lessons however they come imo.

I have so far refused to learn anything about balatro because it makes the surreal comedy experience of watching stuff like this unlike anything i've ever known. Everything they say sounds so completely made up that it puts me in stitches.
