And the wildly incorrect information being blasted in national news about bipolar disorder, post-partum mental health issues, and psychosis will contribute to other people not getting the help they need when they need it, before it turns into a tragedy.

The Clancy trial is tragic because this woman asked for help so many times, exhibited so many symptoms of mental illness and psychosis that were documented and not taken seriously enough, and even after killing her children and trying to kill herself, people still don't believe that she was sick.

There's an opportunity here to educate the public on how critically important mental health generally and post-partum mental health and psychosis identification and treatment specifically are, and it's being blown to hell because the Plymouth County DA's office is looking for a win.

The misinformation about psychosis specifically is enraging, because early diagnosis and treatment of psychotic episodes--especially a first psychotic episode--is critical to lifelong symptom reduction and overall quality of life.

I get that they're trying to win a case, but you shouldn't be trying to win a case by promulgating misinformation about mental illness that prevents mentally ill people from seeking and receiving help. This shit kills people.

You cannot judge a person's mental health by how well they're doing at work or school, or how well they're taking care of their children, or how they look in a picture, and it is extremely damaging for prosecutors in a high-profile case to make this argument.

Going to work, taking care of my kids, paying my bills, none of those things felt like they were a choice for me to do or not do or only do so-so. In my mind, I either did all of them to the level I had always expected of myself, or I stopped living so they were no longer my responsibility.

In the darkest times of my life, when I was literally begging the people around me for help, the fact that I was still going to work, still taking care of the kids, still managing all of my shit was used again and again to justify not providing me with any help, when I was fucking drowning.

How long do you stick it out with a book, waiting for a plot to emerge? I feel like 150 pages is at least 100 too many.

This isn't a cozy small town romance where you could maybe get away with 15 chapters of having feelings about something that happened in another book and pondering your next move (I still wouldn't read that), but it doesn't work in romantasy.

Even when we aren't following around characters who aren't doing anything interesting, we're stuck with in the MC's POV, which is just chapter after chapter of her saying, "I have to do this thing," but again, 37% of the way into the book, and there has been no effort to do the thing.

It's a romantasy falling into the common fantasy trap of having a lot of characters in the first book who were necessary to the plot but now don't seem to have much to do, but still have to be written about, even if it's just endless chapters of them reacting to the end of the last book.

The school district budget is not included in the city budget. It doesn't come out of the city budget. The city council doesn't make any decisions about the school district. The school board does. Funding for police and funding for schools are decided by 2 completely different groups of people.

I can understand his confusion, given his current professional and financial situation, but very few of us make money by doing nothing.

Between the constant false claims about all the magical things agents can supposedly do and the utopic work propaganda going to executives (you never have to pay humans again) and workers (you never have to listen to middle management again), I'm ready to abandon society and go live in a bog.

Just to add, IME most home organizers are wealthy white women who move in the same circles as their clients. They can charge $100+/hour, and a single large job, a few single room jobs, and some consults can net them well over $10k/month. Race/class have a lot to do with the relatively high pay.
