This is the crux of it, isn't it? Democratic party leadership fails even to inspire their most faithful, enthusiastic voters, shuts them out of the conversation when they ask questions, then doubles down on the shit message that's not even working with their loyal base when pushed. "We know better!"

The number of women who are like "my husband is clueless" when he's screwing up very basic shit that makes a lot of extra work for her at home, but he's holding down a demanding job, has an advanced degree, and is perfectly capable of functioning OUTSIDE his own home, is too many.

Another thing about insurance: it's ridiculous that insurers absolutely know which medications they cover and which ones they don't, but people who pay for insurance can't get a list of what is covered and what isn't. You just have to stumble around until you figure out what you can get covered.

It should be illegal for insurance companies to force people to take a string of medications with contraindications and known negative side effects because it's cheaper for them, and licensed providers who enforce these rules for insurers should have their licenses tied to the decisions they make.
