I do NOT miss the era of FPV games where all the cutscenes were also in first-person. Even my favorites didn't usually pull it off well. Awkwardly long shots held, the screen violently jerking around, characters sticking their faces up to the camera. It was even worse when QTEs were involved.

I love the shozoku in Ninja Gaiden. I don't know why the Hell they took it out of Sigma or why it never came back as an alt for any of the sequels.

i think one of the biggest underlinings in just how bad the western industry has been about its own legacy is like. myst isnt just an old game. it was final fantasy vii before final fantasy vii. it was that fucking huge.
