We need to address wealth inequality as a matter of self-defence. We all know that if a wealthy beneficiary of the status quo calls for policies that kill thousands it will be deemed "free speech". If anyone else calls for that individual to be stopped in self-defence, it's deemed "violence".

It’s really starting to grind me down

From gutting neutrality, to watering down the OTB, FF and FG are undermining Ireland's international reputation. But what would the SocDems do differently? Well, we wouldn't just talk the talk - we'd walk the walk. We are peacekeepers, peacemakers and peace builders – it's important we remain so.

I don't want a "Smart Fridge" that orders milk for me. I want a fridge that lasts 25 years and doesn't have a privacy policy that allows it to share my late-night snacking habits with my health insurance provider.

I legitimately can't understand how anyone feels comfortable developing a reputation for not doing their own work. A reputation for skimming the problem at best and not leveraging, or developing, expertise to address that problem. What makes your contribution to the work meaningful?

I refuse to attach my reputation to work I'm not personally responsible for. If I have a responsibility for a task, I feel a moral obligation to do it to the best of my ability and to know that body of work inside out. If there are queries later, I need to be an authority in that topic.

It's getting pretty fucking exhausting to operate in hierarchies where the stance on LLM use is at odds with my personal ethics. I've poured hours of hard, considered, work into shared projects only to have to ask for my name to be removed from the final output because a collaborator used an LLM.

Between the Leto story and everything else it's as abundantly clear as ever that way too many people still don't care about or acknowledge the harm many men in the public eye do to women and girls, even when it's an open secret.

I hate these people so fucking much.

Getting FF/FG out of government and keeping them out for a century is now an existential question for Ireland.
