Hahaha, it's actually because right after the Doge cuts in Jan 2025 they sent out 1600 dollar covid cheques to people who missed them then months later went, "all you people who file non resident taxes aren't eligible, return the cheque. And they were very mean about it. My anxiety got worse.

This piece is incredibly validating for my recent dealings with them over a cheque they "accidentally" sent me then demanded back months later with penalties, so many hours wasted on the phone, along with gaslighting.

After my dad finished watching hockey on the one TV we'd all watch Tommy Hunter which was on after I told a Canadian friend that hockey outlasted Tommy Hunter but that friend corrected me and said that hockey's gone too.

but also, I think that the first remake must have removed all the jokes from the released version because the one character had a ridiculously fake beard that was never explained or commented on.

I kind of enjoyed the TV series for that, plus Lee Majors plays his dad.
