Very interesting. This kind of profit-taking behaviour which occurred after the pandemic has been experienced historically before in countries immediately after war (e.g. Japan, USA, post WWII) to rebuild internal cash reserves for reinvestment and/or to reactivate fixed capital.

Longevity in the family? Also struck me that the corporations were price gouging at the same time they were replacing Australian grown produce with cheap overseas produce/labor.
