I don't know how you're supposed to talk people out of the idea that policy shouldn't be punitive and cruel to vulnerable members of our society just to prevent a problem that only exists for the brief moment between first imagining it and then briefly thinking through the implications.

I had a bilateral salpingectomy about ten years ago for sterilization purposes and was surprised when my doctor talked about it also being good ovarian cancer prevention. I blab about it to anyone who will listen because unfortunately that’s how women often learn about our bodies.

She's not a comedian who needs to work on that tight 10; the issue isn't her "attempt at humor" not landing. She's not in customer service coming in just under metrics this month, but who will be drilling soft skills. She's not a factory worker who needs supervised retraining for minor QA flaws.

The woman has sexually harassed people in her past. & has sexually harassed people WHILE serving--not just in any position of authority over anybody, but as the mayor--not just of a city, but of the capitol city of our state. & her statement demonstrates she doesn't even get what she's done wrong.

Your cops should also not be engaging in sexual harassment/assault/whatever even though we know they absolutely are. Your cops should also not exist. That there's cops involved does not matter one bit.

And it doesn't matter that there are also cops who participate in this, or that all cops are bastards. Your mayor shouldn't be doing this.
