Kentucky is losing 300 acres of farmland a day due to industrialization + data centers. Farmers are struggling and rural areas face a housing crisis. Instead of solving those challenges, Rep. James Comer has prioritized 20 different bills attacking DC. www.washingtoninformer.com/comer-dc-tax...

As I've repeatedly said, for years now, if you use DoorDash you're helping your oppressors. Stop DoorDash, Stop Uber, stop giving money to any "gig" economy company. Stop giving your enemies money with which to oppress you.
Free DCDoorDash has been silent as its delivery drivers are hunted and killed by federal agents. Now, the company is backing #HR9720, a bill attacking DC Home Rule. We are calling on everyone to #DeleteDoordash. Let us know you've deleted your account and share your reasons why: deletedoordash.com
Eloquent argument for standing with DC and democracy instead of DoorDash, thanks to @ryanbeckwith.bsky.social
Free DCFrom @ms.now: "DoorDash customers across the country now know what the company thinks the democratic rights of 700,000 Washingtonians are worth: about 20 cents." #DeleteDoorDash www.ms.now/opinion/door...

Oh, done and dusted. And encourage everyone in DC and frankly anywhere to #DeleteDoordash. I don’t need a multibillion dollar company telling DC we don’t deserve home rule and stay silent about the assaults on delivery drivers by ICE.

Seeing lots of posts from people deleting DoorDash bc they’re outraged the company is asking the GOP to kill DC home rule—all to avoid a $0.20 delivery fee. As a DC resident, I just want to say thank you. And screw DoorDash.
Martin AustermuhleInteresting: DoorDash is supporting the GOP bill in Congress to limit D.C.'s ability to increase or decrease taxes and fees, largely in response to the D.C. Council's recent vote in impose a new 20-cent delivery fee to help fund food-access programs. www.notus.org/metro/uberea...
DoorDash, in damage control mode, now claims it supports D.C. home rule and denies lobbying against it. Here’s the letter their lobbyist wrote to Rep. Comer supporting his bill to ban D.C. from ever imposing or increasing a tax or fee without congressional approval. hillheat.com/files/492/DD...
DoorDash is lobbying against DC Home Rule. Time to find another way to get your meals, because no one should support a company that works to deny democracy to DC residents.

Door Dash is out here actively lobbying against home rule. Yeet them into the sun.
Keya ChatterjeeThis was the worst Congressional attack on DC Home Rule we've seen, and Doordash admits they instigated. DELETE YOUR DOORDASH Account. Mobile: In the app, go to the Me tab. Navigate to Manage Account → Manage Account and enter your login credentials; then, select Delete Account.
DoorDash's letter attacking DC home rule over a 20-cent fee: #DeleteDoorDash
Brad JohnsonI got the DoorDash letter attacking DC home rule over a 20¢ fee. The letter, which dangerously misrepresents HR 9720 as only applying to tax and fee increases, was written by @lgbtqvictoryfund.bsky.social director John Horton. #freedc
Like DC, the city of Memphis, TN is also currently under National Guard occupation. A pizza shop owner there made it clear they don't serve occupiers. Ever since, business has been booming.
DC wants National Guard soldiers to go back to where they came from — not to move into our neighborhoods. The National Guard's presence in DC is a hostile military occupation. It's part of Trump's disgusting desire to stay in power forever and Placemakr is helping him do it.
DC renters, this is your call up. Get your building's owner or management company to commit NOW to decline contracts with the National Guard.
Supporting legislation to gut DC’s Home Rule over a 20-cent delivery fee is appalling. No more DoorDash for us, DC.
