If you’re doing it for smoke and not illness prevention, I cannot recommend highly enough a cup respirator from a hardware store with an exhalation valve for outdoor labor. Nothing sweaty sticking to your face, and less heat and humidity building up. They’re ugly but my go-to outdoor mask.
