A white person might technically be an “immigrant”, but not as much as a non-white person is an immigrant by definition “Immigrant” is code for non-white

AI rarely gets depicted negatively in the news, and when it does all they focus on is the potentiality for it to become sentient and go rogue, implying that makes it exceptional. “Ooo AI is so powerful it’s scaaaaaaary”

It’s not even artificial intelligence, it’s just an NPC with a really complex dialog tree. It doesn’t think, it just picks a path based on patterns and doesn’t understand its actions. I’m more concerned about the resources it uses and the insane amount of capital that investors are spending on it

I have no doubt that human creativity will ultimately win, but what I cannot help thinking about right now is the waste. How many artists have been fired or are now struggling to make ends meet? How many artists simply never became artists because AI slop discouraged them? :( #WeeknightWriters

For me, reward systems tend to be counterproductive because once i actually get into the flow state i find it difficult to stop! The reward ironically becomes a distraction. For me it’s more about getting the ball rolling in the first place. I could spend entire days procrastinating….

You’ve got worldbuilders disease, my friend! Not necessarily a bad thing (Tolkien had a terminal case of it), but if it’s any help, try to plan out your story first. Build your world around the story, rather than the story around the world. This worked wonders for me! #WeeknightWriters

Absolutely, and it does not help when your only avenue to work as a professional artist is based on your social media platform and requires you to engage with it constantly 😭
