Some of these, I'm not sure what you would do. I'm hoping the plan is for Millipede to be the sequel to Centipede, even though they were completely different game franchises. But Berzerk needs to be horror. And I'm intrigued by the idea of movies from Crystal Castles and Yars' Revenge.

From what I've been seeing, word around Hollywood is that it isn't an origin story, just "A Christmas Carol" done 'dark' by Tim Burton. Making this advertising make even less sense.

(It's sung from the perspective of someone whose significant other died, and they are about to complete the promised 1000 days of waiting/mourning before doing....something. It's vague whether or not that something is moving on *with* life, or moving on *from* life.)

Unfortunately, this is likely something that the government has not consented to be able to be sued for, and thus the case would be thrown out almost immediately on Sovereign Immunity grounds.

Maybe I'll be wrong. Monster getting revenge on the people who created him is basically "The Crow" as well, though Eric Draven never felt as anger-driven as this preview suggests is going to happen here.

OK, I can't see this being something audiences are going to flock to, since it feels like a horror film with the monster as the protagonist. But that's at least and interesting direction for a film and pretty appropriate for the character's TAS origin. youtu.be/OGO4Mqvo3jI?...

The fact that Rogers is back in Doomsday really makes me worry that Sam isn't getting to lead a team ever.

It feels like they were building to a Young Avengers plan for Kate, Wiccan, America, Ironheart instead of Iron Lad, and maybe even Eli Bradley. And then Johnathan Majors happened and they tossed that out, just because Kang is their main original antagonist in the comics and can't do anything new!

So that could explain why it leans so heavily on Prince of Thieves and has a lot of jokes from Brooks' earlier successful works.

A Hollywood writer's teen/tween daughter thought Prince of Thieves was too serious, and so he wrote a comedy version and shopped it around. It got picked up and offered to Brooks. Its possible (thought unclear if) Brooks took it on to try to prove killing off his 1975 series was the wrong move.

I'm not sure how accurate I am in this, but I always got the impression most of Brooks' movies started with him. Like he wrote the first script and never really gave control of it away. Men in Tights didn't start with him.

Robert Ridgely also appeared in "When Things Were Rotten", a 1 season comedy Robin Hood series Brooks did 1 year after Blazing Saddles. Which, now that I think of it, might have been a subtle reference behind calling it Rottingham.

Think I saw a while back that Elwes' love of the Errol Flynn Robin Hood is what inspired him to get into acting. So this was probably a dream job. And might have been amplified by Brooks filming all the forest scenes in the same wooded area used in the Flynn film.
