The proposed changes to Section 106 of the NHPA will end cultural heritage preservation consultation by government agencies before destruction/construction. Public lands and archaeological and historical sites are protected because they are a finite resource. Once destroyed, they're gone forever.

My updated Author's Note for False Flag addressing the proposed rewrite of the implementing regulations for Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, which would gut cultural and historic preservation in the US.

Rewriting the intro to my Author's Note for FALSE FLAG because this is one of the core issues behind the story--disinformation being used to destroy preservation laws. Watching this excellent presentation with information on how to respond. It also helps that it makes me feel less alone in my grief.

I've had the same Wusthof knives for 32 years, several pieces of original PYREX my daughter would like to steal, and 14 Le Creuset pans--all of which are on the list of brands that are still solid! Whew. I've also, sadly, owned several brands no longer worth it. Private equity destroys everything.
