Ellroy - not me. But the sentences - I bang them out. Nail them down. Ellroy-like. Ellroyesque. Ellroy fucking INspired. I type. I cut. I cut to the *bone*. Adjectives? Adverbs? Long sentences are junk. Long sentences slow me down. I kick them screaming off the screen.
