I think you can launder a lot of really out there opinion stuff if it's sandwiched between a decent reporting-led political team which the Spectator has had for a long time and a reasonable books, arts and culture section.

It got a repeat around 1990, which I watched due to a friend's parental-induced interest. Even as a ten-ish year old, bits of it felt like they'd not aged well. Others (the general UK malaise) felt and feel relevant

Ironically that is why I ended up as Vernor’s unofficial body man because he had to skip the GoH dinner and I hung with him while he sipped a fizzy water. He then kept coming to hang with us, hence Keith’s first impression.
