Arrived in Montreal this evening. So good to be back in Canada!

My obsession this week is the 1970s series ‘Ace of Wands,’ not least for its fantastically groovy theme song.

It’s about a stage magician with some psychic powers; the BBC erased the first two seasons, which were aimed at a younger audience.

Been enjoying the only surviving season of ‘Ace of Wands’ (1972) on YouTube. My favourite moment in the closing credits is when the pet owl Ozymandias is credited as ‘Fred Owl.’

My timeline might be pleased to know that there's now a statue of Sylvia Townsend Warner on Dorchester's high street.
