I was thinking about this earlier (because of the date). One of the most compelling short stories I’d ever read.

And to be clear, I had an insanely good deal of $35 for a year with no adverts, and they aren’t doing any more Trek shows after Strange New Worlds so there’s no reason to pay more.

It’s not like they have a good track record on this. Most of the damaging stuff they keep back for a book (Haberman *cough*) but we can but hope.

And in another clear sign I need to get out and about more in America, most of the vehicles here are the size of small buses (Trucks, SUVs, all gleaming black except for the odd red one). Which on a brighter note means I can park in places they can’t. Still, makes you wonder how anyone can afford it

Ditto. It’s the perfect story that says so much in basically two pages. Few writers today (let alone then), had his skill.
