the biggest tension deflater in fallout 4 was the devil's due mission, where you go to a spooky museum, it's all a bit eldritch horror, it's queued up as "what is in there?!" but if you have a companion with you they immediately yell "look out! deathclaw!!" when you go in. this reminds me of that
