There’s a sizable number of people who voted for Trump in 2024 after supporting Democrats in the past because they thought he’d be better for their bottom lines. They were wrong, and they understand that to a pretty large extent, but it’s critical that we hammer the us vs. 1% message.

If you’re not interested in persuading voters you’re not interested in winning. And people’s views aren’t fixed, look at how Democratic voters have moved further to the left. Even if conservatives still vote Republican but demand their party actually help people, that’s a partial win.

Yeah but let them think there’s still a way to support conservative politicians when trying to persuade them. If their priority becomes economic populism they’ll come to understand the truth eventually on their own.

When trying to persuade conservatives, make it all about supporting economic populist platforms. Let them find out for themselves that politicians on the right are never the ones doing things that help their bottom line
