For years I have complained that Muse just chase trends and never fully develop an idea, they're not bad, they're just lazy and their output sucks as a result because it's always half baked. I don't even mind chasing trends, I just wish they did anything with it.

TL;DR "fuck it let's try again" is an important lesson to learn. And one I think you only learn by experiencing it. But also one I think may be easier to learn if you are open to the idea of learning it.

I think one of the most important things I have learned on my journey to learn nonspecific art forms is that it is so okay to just throw something away. And I don't mean give up. I mean it's okay to abandon or even delete that WIP that you love the idea of but you can't make it happen.
