Hell--I paid real Earth money for a cover *and* title page art for a fic epic *that will never be printed*! Surely real writers publishing real books can be bothered to spend a few $$ to do the job right!

will say, as a corollary, writers who purchase cover art from someone who seems to be a "real artist" and then get scammed and sent AI shit have my complete sympathies.
