My distaste for the culture war has nothing to do with whether or not culture (even popular culture) is important or a worthy ideological battlefield. Rather, it's because it's a pre-political quagmire that's become a sink for the sub-rich's lack of access to material politics. It's a ghetto.

I know that I don't exactly look my age, but the 42-y/o woman who just dropped off a chair at my house called me, "a nice young man." When she found out it's my 50th birthday today, she was shocked. She thought I was younger than her. I'll take it!* *I desperately need a haircut and a beard trim.

Use of generative AI is political de-alignment with the entire species. A failure to realize this is a failure to be a minimally suffient humanist. If I see gen-AI, I reflexively mute and block, unless it's someone I know, then I'll address it (some don't realize what they've done). Zero tolerance.

When I was 16 I wanted to live ST:TNG's future. Now I'd settle for an Italian Star Wars knock-off with pointless nudity. That's how lame reality is.

With RE_Kenshi and Dust out there, I honestly think that a voiced dialogue mod that doesn't use a generative-AI hook would dramatically increase Kenshi's popularity. I'm not typically this guy, but to a certain degree, it's an accessibility issue.

Real or generated, it looks awful, either way.
