I'm totally expecting *some* Stevens voters to vote for Rogers if El-Sayed wins. Those would be primarily centrists. But I also expect the lion's share of Stevens voters to keep their votes in the Democratic column.

That poll is stale. It's from June. It does contradict the Glengariff poll, but the Glengariff poll is more recent, so it has some weight.

Actually, looking at some of the person's previous posts, I think he's a contrarian who likes to troll people. He's posted this particular comment at least ten times today.

First, that's an odd concern. You're voting for policies and for the person you think will be most effective in fighting for those policies to become reality. Second, it's a secret ballot. So not only is it not antisemitic to vote for El-Sayed, it's no one else's business.

But yes, it's fair game to note that outside PACs have spent in excess of $50M on attack ads against her opponent. If that money is sourced, it's fair to name that source. People calling this out aren't calling it "Jewish money." YOU'RE the one doing that. You're making the equivalence, not others.

She's bad at retail politics. That is to say, she has negative charisma. She's incompetent w/r/t this part of her job. She supports data centers. She lied to the audience at the debate. She walks away from her constituents when they ask her questions. She's run an entirely negative campaign.

From my vantage point, it seems like the publication of this very article is building a permission structure for precisely the outcome it describes.

I swear, people have lost their minds. The amount of PAC money in this single race is absolutely corrupting the information space. This undermines democracy. I find it incredible that the Detroit News published such an opinion piece. Then again, the News already endorsed Stevens.

What you should focus on is that people were so disgusted with the prospect of a Mike Rogers senatorial seat that they made a special trip to deny him that spot. They'll do it again.

Slotkin won downballot of Harris.. She pulled in more votes than the top of the ticket. This is because some demoralized Dems didn't vote while others left the top line blank. It's amazing enough turned out to put Slotkin in. This means there's a base of voters who are devoted to downballot races.

No, the OP has said in a different thread that they're on the West coast. So I'm not sure how s/he has any idea how Stevens voters would react to a loss. That seems like esoteric knowledge to me.

I like 'Michiganian' myself, but most folks wouldn't recognize it if they saw or heard it. I appreciate you stanning for it, though.
