100% I'm in Maine. Ticks were around 25 years ago, but we'd rarely see one, much less worry about tick-borne disease. Populations stayed low because winter temps regularly hit -20. The river no longer freezes over, tick populations have exploded, & 2% of us have had anaplasmosis at least once.
Oh great. An untreatable, possibly fatal virus passed by ticks is spreading in the USA. Good thing we have the CDC looking out for us, am I right?
