I’m going to go back to looking up how to get drains unblocked, because a blocked sewer is a more pleasant place to hang about than with selfish, ignorant, health supremacists.

I’m a bit sensitive on the subject seeing that these irresponsible 💩s words resulted in actions that killed my family members in double digit numbers.

Cos that’s what opening schools in a pandemic without PPE and proper air handling is. Killing.

I’d like to point out again that Boris Johnson desperately tried to keep things open in 2020 and it resulted in a “pile” of dead bodies and that is WHAT FAILURE LOOKS LIKE.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to comment on these things. These are such fruit cake notions that they don’t actually merit a response. But I have to respond, otherwise it looks like a respected person is saying legitimate things… and they are not.

There was no PPE for emergency department staff at times… so what exactly were these teachers going to use to protect themselves? Even on my most optimistic let’s-clean-the-air days even I can figure out that NO PPE. = STAY AT HOME

And bear in mind that this journalist is saying that we just carry on like normal when healthcare workers were cutting aprons out of bin bags in order to care for the consequences of trying to keep schools open, among other things… like restaurants 😡🤡

So… what would you rather be doing in a pandemic? Filling out government questionnaires, and chasing kids for homework… in “closed schools” (which were never actually completely closed, in most places)… Or dead?

There might have been a few, but considering there was less than 1k deaths in the first year, and they were mostly aged care residents 💔 it’s unlikely there were nearly as many as the UK.

I have tried multiple different search methods and I can’t find any data on teacher deaths in Australia in 2020. The first reported one in the news is in 2022.
