It’s billionaires. It’s always billionaires controlling shit in broad daylight and yet easily pitting one marginalized group against another as a scapegoat and distraction.

I know older schools of thought are like “Well ‘Woman’ shouldn’t be narrow that’s what women’s lib is about!” Or “Men need to be liberated from toxic masculinity!” and I’m like “Sure, but the words “men” & “woman” are so burdened by gendered expectations, I’m liberating myself from those words.”

Yeah! Woman feels like a different gender from girl too! “Women” are expected to perform a gender that revolves around catering to the lowest common denominator of cis men, all to achieve motherhood, like it’s inevitable. My life doesn’t center any of that.

And I imagine “Man” feels too narrow? “Boys” feel a bit more free.

I also grew up watching Golden Girls. These older ladies were not so inhibited as women often are. I am growing old, wise, & am still girl spectrum. So as a nonbinary person, I feel anywhere from agender to girl, but not woman. In my experience “woman” is loaded with too many gendered expectations.

This is not unusual. For me, I don’t think my interests are inherently “youthful.” I think “girls” are allowed to have a wider variety of interests and expressions than “women” are. Same for “boys” vs “men.” Essentially, gender expectations got more narrow and intense as womanhood was forced on me.

Is it punchier to call her MAGA? Yeah. I dunno if she’s 100% aligned with the MAGA grift like Minaj is now. But even if she’s just indifferent or oblivious to how her fans are hurt, that still disqualifies her as an ally and it makes her untrustworthy. It’s disappointing.

My guess is she’s religious first & foremost. She talks about Jesus a lot & will uncritically follow people who do the same. American Christianity is a nationalist cult. Cults require cognitive dissonance. She likely keeps herself ignorant & indifferent to how those people target most of her fans.
