This is not unusual. For me, I don’t think my interests are inherently “youthful.” I think “girls” are allowed to have a wider variety of interests and expressions than “women” are. Same for “boys” vs “men.” Essentially, gender expectations got more narrow and intense as womanhood was forced on me.
