Gen AI art looks so much the same, I'm starting to have a visceral reaction to it, that same shudder when I'm faced with food that I really don't like. On the plus side, my delight at the handmade and weird has grown ten fold.

i keep going back to these writer scams with "oh, cool, i'm excited you'll pay me for my time with your book group!" and they're all, "uh, no, you misunderstand..." and i'm like "no, i think you must have it backwards, will you venmo me in advance or ..." i need to stop replying at all.

oh, gosh, maybe we should start calling in the dunning kruger machine.

two writer scams that keep landing in my inbox. one is some famous name asks to interact with me and, uh, why? i'm like a one time midlist memoirist. the other starts as a book group visit but quickly morphs into a pay for play promotional pitch. may they both get pickpockted at the bus stop.

a great thing about having a dog is they will just hang out with you on the couch and they have ZERO to say about what you should be doing instead of hanging out on the couch.
