The stranglehold the rightwing and far right have on our politics is absurd. Not a single policy or idea that benefits the country. A wild aversion to tax, immigration, NetZero, the EU.. trapping us in a dismal dead-end, unable to make progress for fear of the DailyMail demographic losing its shit.

In my neverending pursuit of fairness EPD News (always willing to big up Reform) have this pic. I would say there's about 200 people there, so more than a couple of dozen but still barely worth "live streaming"! I imagine quite a few were journalists, or perhaps people who thought it was a wedding.

I could go on at length about police "culture". A very depressing aspect of policing too often dismissed as "banter" by too many officers, but which has contributed to poor policing for decades all around the world.
