not only am/was I a huge Yakuza/RGG fan, but I'm a huge Fist of the North Star fan too, so this was a pretty perfect game I love how we still got the baseball minigame, only this time with raiders and an I-beam

I'm doing a kinda-sorta "Major Marvel Events of the Last Twenty Years" read-through, and man, Planet Hulk rocks, and is a great follow-up after reading The Winter Soldier @gregpak.net and team, you guys made such a killer bunch of comics (also looking forward to re-reading World War Hulk)

a friend pointed out (after I bounced off Disco Elysium) that the games I like tend to be very kinetic, and a lot of crafting/survival games usually have to focus on other under-the-hood stuff (or keeping the world persistent)

I'm a pretty competitive person by nature, so the idea of "get better at this thing" is what draws me to the games I like I like learning and mastering systems, which also applies to like, action games and shooters and some RPGs it's still "repeating/refining a set of actions," just more dynamic

creators just have to own it imo--part of liking military fiction is admitting that on some level it's all a bit problematic I think it's better to go *more* over-the-top than to be all "grounded" and "ripped from the headlines" etc etc bsky.app/profile/nate...

I'm in the small camp that actually kinda liked the first GI Joe movie, and thought Retaliation and Snake Eyes were only okay but that's another one that just can't figure out what it should be (the Call of Duty multiplayer storyline is what it should be)
