We have never, and never will, forget the help provided by our US neighbours. It is the US government that forgets their own firefighters. In yet another area, Trump has ruined all good faith between our countries. We don’t even expect adult behaviour from the current US gov’t anymore.

We are not living a nightmare. Our nations are not under fascism, and no, the US is not a warning for the world. It was a unique set of events that led to Trump/MAGA, and they were all homegrown. We hate the tariffs/threats, but the US is just not important enough anymore for us to suffer much.

Canada gives no fucks about Trump and his hollow threats, but: What must it be like to wake up each day in the USA, knowing you’re “led” by this shit stain?

Does the State not realize that no one not originally from Louisiana, on a family visit or the like, goes to Louisiana for any other reason than to experience New Orleans? There would be almost no tourism in LA without NOLA, the greatest city in the US (in this Canadian’s opinion).

I think the important part is the second sentence. The Americans need to show some guts, and do more than just sit around waiting for the midterms.

It was a beautiful sight watching him get destroyed via such a painful injury. He hasn’t won anything since 2016, so it was not exactly unexpected that he lost this fight. Basically, he put on display his new role as a chump.

I feel for you all: in a two-party system, one would expect diametrically opposed parties, situated to appeal to certain voters. In the US, the two parties are too close in policy currently. Up here we have our shite politicos, but at least they differ markedly, offering clear choices among them.

I wish our kittens could sleep with us, but alas, my partner is an extremely light sleeper/insomniac. It might be a bit much to say such a person should not get a cat or dog! Luckily, our two cats love to sleep in their library (which room became “theirs” immediately upon moving in!).
