And that's even more fucked up...but also why I shared things. I don't typically get mine until the 3rd, but dad gets his at like 11pm on the 2nd...they charge us late fees starting at midnight as soon as it's the 3rd... so god forbid I'm tired or hurting and fall asleep... It shouldn't be this way

Maybe 2 or 3 CNAs, but other than getting patients some water or pillows, most things required that a nurse be around to at least supervise, if not to just outright do the task entirely, and the fact that about half the nights I was there, a couple of people called off, or didn't show, it was rough.

But at the "skilled nursing facility" (which is a nursing home where they do accept a certain number of outpatients who are there only for PT or OT or other forms of rehab to be able to return home and function on their own) was absurdly understaffed... 1 nurse per floor (for 2 or 3 sections)...

From my experience, it certainly seems to support all the other claims about our healthcare system being in a bit of a slow motion collapse. The hospital itself, not so much...they had plenty of staff working, things were usually dealt with quickly, including them giving me my pain meds...

I'm not even a reporter, just a dude who runs a decently sized FB page that is focused on politics...and yeah...I understand that struggle (I was told if I didn't want my anxiety to keep ramping up that I needed to reduce my stress levels...but it's hard to pretend I don't know the world is on fire)

I got home from the hospital yesterday around noon ish (on Saturday...anyway)...and man, other than the folks I follow, the feed is mostly blue MAGA still failing to understand why people don't rush to vote for them...

Every time I decide to be more active here, something happens in life that distracts me...this time, I've been in the hospital then skilled nursing since the 1st of the month...fun times. (Should be home Friday I think though)

And yet they somehow think that all votes can and will be counted in time and claim that nobody will have their votes thrown out. There is no fucking logic to that logic...jfc

At that point, maybe you're swinging it at the wrong things...

It seems to be about 20-25% (give or take), with another large chunk who are so disillusioned with it all, that they just stay out of it, even if it's harmful to them...so...yeah...

That was around the time she was hinting at being open to trying to force a ceasefire in Gaza, and when she was talking about the out of control price gouging, and how she would have formal investigations to hold them companies accountable...(and then never spoke of either again)

Hell, half his regime is currently breaking that law...

They'll have corporate farms ready and waiting to take over those generational farms once they go under...*sigh*

Which is exactly why we need to be looking to make things better...not just return to what kept a handful of folks a bit more comfortable...

I honestly wonder if the last admin was trying to avoid that sort of "appearance" or if it's all just being complicit...because it feels like it's all just fine by almost everyone in power....everything feels performative....

Those are individuals. The party as a whole has no actual foundation at this point. They can't even claim that being pro-choice is mandatory because they started trying to recruit pro-life "democrats" ages ago...They dropped any effort at universal healthcare...and they prefer AIPAC money to winning

The refusal to hold their own party accountable or to any real standards is why they claim to be "lesser evil" while openly funding and supporting genocide...It's like the word "lesser" has no meaning there. Or it means "the evil that doesn't impact me as much"...genocide is pretty fucking evil

When I say stuff like this on my FB page, it seems to upset a bunch of liberals...but they can't really accuse me of lying, so they just start screaming about how "they're still better than Trump!" and how I must be "MAGA!".....*sigh*
