So, many of us on disability don't get our payments until the 3rd...sometimes you might get lucky and it will show up on the 1st or if you live in the right time zone and have the right type of account, you might get it at like 11pm on the 2nd... These late fees should go against the ADA IMO...

So, on the first of this month, my pain and lack of mobility got so bad I finally went to the hospital (after making sure someone would be able to stop in to check on dad most days of the week)...I spent the next several days in the hospital then almost 3 weeks at skilled nursing.

Man, a lot of people seem way too confident that the Dems are going to win the midterms in a landslide, and then, they're going to start trying to hold this regime responsible for it's cruelty and grift...The same Dems who undid very little of what Trump implemented last time? Those Dems? Idk...

I've seen people say that "billionaires will let you die if it means more profits for them"... Nah, it's worse. They will gladly and knowingly cause your death, not just "let it happen"...just for the possibility that it might add a few pennies to their profits.

I wish the Democrats were as radical as the Republicans claim they are...and I wish the DSA were as extreme as the Democrats claim as well...nice to know that the Dems are more concerned with fighting the "left" than they are with the complete submission to fascism and the Epstein Parasite Class...

So, Third Way Democrats are all up in arms because a few DSA candidates beat out the status quo, do nothing Democrats? They're signing damn pledges to "move the party back to the middle"...which, means to the right, as always. After years of shifting right, the middle is well to the left of the DNC.

Ever notice that the people who demand we move to all paper ballots, are the same people who demand that everyone vote in person, who are the same people that demand all votes be counted by midnight on election day and any not counted get tossed, who are the same people who want to end early voting.

In the U.S. both parties have moved so far to the right, that any actual centrists are well to the left of the Democratic Party...if you're "in between both", you're a right-winger, not a centrist.

I thought I'd be more upset that my car was towed (again)...but I expected it. I have been struggling a lot lately, and I wasn't able to make sure it at least looked like I was driving it. The one tire was likely flat...I can't afford to get it back, and not sure I care tbh. I signed it over to them

Getting rid of Trump doesn't "fix things". If your main hope is to get back to "the way it used to be before Trump" or "back to the old status quo", then you're a big part of the problem, and odds are, you are more concerned about protecting your own comfort than about actually improving the nation.

Keep seeing the "It's not an uber, it's a bus, you get on the one going closest to your destination" to push "vote blue" mentality. But I'm starting in Phoenix, trying to go to Seattle....one bus is going out into the Atlantic Ocean, the other is going to New Jersey...Neither is near my stop.

Man, imagine how different things might be if so many didn't take Biden's win in 2020 as permission to "go back to brunch" and to stop protesting all the problems that still existed even after Biden took office? And yet again, too many only want to "go back to brunch"...

I keep seeing the claim that "The problem is that the left wants Democrats to meet some absurd purity standards"...but that's not the problem...the real problem is, and has been, that Democratic voter have refused to hold their party to any standards at all.

So, fun fact...if the war in Iran were to magically stop, right now, and not another missile was fired...It would take 5 years to bring some of the damaged fossil fuel facilities back up to typical production levels...the others that have been damaged, well, they could take 10+ years...Now you know
