ending the season on a new doctor's first story isn't the worst idea in the world, and having a more prickly incarnation of the doctor isn't the worst idea either, but they executed both so poorly at the same time that it kinda totally sabotaged the sixth doctor's run right from the start...

that particular jump in quality is worse since not only was the twin dilemma the sixth doctor's first story, but it ALSO was the end of the season! viewers' final impression at the time was THAT. AND it was also their first impression of the sixth doctor, that they had to sit with for a whole year!

Doctor Who has this really funny thing where The Caves of Androzani, commonly considered one of the best serials of the show, is followed by The Twin Dilemma, which is commonly considered one of the worst. I’m trying to figure out if any other show has a jump in quality like that between episodes

lmao geez my folks are also like that.... thinking all anime is pornographic for some reason.... it annoys me..... but then also a lot of the anime i like also happens to have the occasional Nipple Moment in it so idk how to feel about it now, lol

the 5th bluray set in particular i had a lot of trouble getting, amazon couldn't count so they instead sent me a duplicate of set 1... twice! then the ebay seller i found that HAD set 5 initially accidentally shipped me a dvd copy instead of the bluray, requiring them to send it to me AGAIN

in my case, i had to go onto ebay and collect a bunch of them from individual sellers there since crunchyroll and amazon sucked not to mention, the fact i live in canada meant that when i had to buy most of 'em from people in the usa, they had monstrous shipping costs and customs charges tacked on
