I agree with Barb McQuade and her new book that everything the orange felon does is aligned with mafia mob boss behavior. Making a “deal” is never a great idea because of the instability and capricious nature of his character!

On Thursday, ICE needlessly detained Eduardo Aguirre Esparza, a local Seattle small business owner with no criminal history. This is a man who is married to an American citizen and with deep ties to our local community who was working hard to pursue a legal pathway to lawful permanent residence.

This is American news claiming that a Russian attack on Ukraine was a Ukrainian attack on Russia. The only way Russia wins this war is when we spread its propaganda, as we are doing here.

Ok so what can we as citizens DO about this? I’m going to write a LTE and send emails to my elected leaders but what else?

At least 52 people have died in ICE custody since Trump returned to the White House. At least 23 people have been shot at by federal immigration agents. And thousands more have been caged, separated from their families, or shipped off to dangerous countries. The cruelty is endless.

The problem is that so many will read this and say “great”! We need to push out messaging for WHY this is a negative for our society. Sad but true.

I miss knowing there's an Anthony Fauci in charge of health. A Hillary Clinton or Antony Blinken handling things internationally. A Pete doing things for transportation. A Lloyd Austin handling defense. A Haaland protecting our lands. I miss knowing adults are in the room. Or at least non-traitors.

I have been watching pages closely and there has been various statements that are either untrue or misleading, for 16 months now. For years I have been using these pages for my college students reading- have to pivot away now. Very tragic, as it will take time to restore trust.
