There's a certain mindset that anime cultivates in people, I think, where the mind just glosses over the omnipresent gross stuff to get to the meat... but after I saw a *certain godawful anime* I think that part of my brain broke. Now it takes something really special to get me to push past that.

Why is that anime so often has to oscillate between the Worst Thing I've Ever Seen and stuff that strikes me directly in my heart? :y Anime fans get really mad about 'censorship', but there are honestly some stories that would really, REALLY do better without fanservice.

This one! It's a lot of fun but the only realistic way to play it is a mod in Tabletop Sim, so I wanted to make a proper digital version... I still wanna finish it, but I think I might set it aside, at least until November or so!

I was blasting through adapting a boardgame in Godot... And then I reached combat, where two players go back and forth in rapid succession, and my brain (and code) exploded for months...

I’m not sure why people are surprised by this. Christianity is, at the best of times, a marketing-focused ideology. But when there’s any significant pushback, it rapidly becomes an exercise in raw power, which is what this is. She’s asserting dominance, not trying to persuade.

I will reiterate: Christians in the West evangelize in public for the same reason men catcall. Neither is trying to persuade you; both are reminding you that the public sphere belongs to them and you exist in it at their sufferance.

Once I get it published… once I finally get it published… I’ll have something to put on posts like this, and will do so *constantly*… Querying is a nightmare :y

Maybe instead they should just focus on making good new stories that can fit in a single game. We don’t need every Final Fantasy adapted like the Hobbit. Funny how they only need multiple ridiculously over-budgeted entries to tell a story when its game is old and nostalgic.
