The best thing about Hadestown is there’s always at least one person who Capital R Reacts when he turns around. Not best because “Geez dummy how did you not know that was coming?” but best because it’s great that people can get so caught up in the storytelling that it still catches them off guard 🌹

This is like complaining about Irwin Allen’s Alice In Wonderland (1985) and how wasted Carol Channing, Pat Morita, Shelley Winters, Ringo Starr, Sammy Davis Jr. etc all were. You get one big main character and a few supporting roles and a ton of cameos due to the episodic nature of the story.
