(I didn't get an answer on 4. I suspect it's a broad question and tricky to narrow down when there are so many talented artists working today. I find Michael has been open about his influences, old and new, when I prompt with names, less so when the question is wide open. ~ME) 4/4

Anything that combines peanuts and good chocolate is my favorite. So, naturally, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups pretty much top my list. My good friend George Beahm has generously sent me chocolate covered peanuts from GA, and they are both amazing and totally addictive! 3/4

Most? Coming up with ideas at the beginning, and seeing them in my mind. Turning the mental image into a physical painting is the hard part. 2/4

Yeah, I saw The Hurt Locker. It’s a good film, well directed and acted. I don’t know why someone would want to do that as a job, but people have all kinds of motivations. 1/4

I made them up. The little devil’s heads refer to something in the story.

Musk is calling for the assassination of a journalist. It's so difficult to comprehend why someone in his position would do such a thing that we naturally give him the benefit of every doubt, but it's crystal clear what he's saying.

Some examples include the flowers—for instance, the red lilies representing the Earth Goddess, regeneration, and immortality, the astronomical symbols for the Earth and Moon in the woman's jewelry, and the little devil-headed snakes on the soundboard of the harp… 5/7

But that is exactly what he did. I don't see why, even now. In any case, I am quite pleased with the results, so no complaints on my part. Most of my art now is infused with some symbolic or metaphoric elements, and this piece is no exception. 4/7

The remaining one was rather sedate in comparison: the woman seated, playing the harp, in a woodland scene. I included it with the others I sent to the art director, never thinking that he might choose such a straightforward approach! 3/7

That is how I chose to depict her though the former guise would probably have 'captured the title' better. I did about five concept renderings for this commission. Four of them featured the lady dancing in various active and flowing poses. 2/7
