This is, perhaps, the most pervasive long-term impact of the whole "drown government in a bathtub" Reagan era. These government entities, regulations, and laws *only* ever existed in the first place because unregulated capitalism results in widespread suffering & often death 100% of the time.

I've been listening to the Tom Hanks podcast about WWII, and Hitler comes off as the whiniest little bitch. Stalin and Hirohito were deeply evil, murderous men, but Hitler was such a little bitch on top of it.
