if you’re an immigrant and unemployed, you’re a freeloader, but if you’re gainfully employed, you’re stealing someone’s job. They just don’t want these people to exist except as targets for their hatred one way or the other bsky.app/profile/heba...

My Haitian friend was just fired from his job. "They said I don't have a legal status now." This is likely happening to hundreds of thousands of people across this country today. Sick.

NEW, from me: Today, nearly 1000 workers at Mount Nittany Medical Center in central PA have walked off the job on a 5-day strike. The nearly wall-to-wall union (somewhat rare in healthcare these days) has been in the midst of negotiations for months. Their contract expired July 1.

this number is horrific not because it’s unusually high, but because it’s perfectly average. on average repeat rapists—who are the vast majority of all rapists—admit to 6 rapes. this is one of the biggest reasons to prevent people with a history of sexual violence from gaining more power!

"America is my home, and it has been for 31 years," Marlene told ABC News in April. "It took three years for me to get granted #TPS. So a lot of hard work went into this, just to have it potentially ripped away from me ... It's kind of cruel and inhumane to rip that away from us."
