blood instantly boiling this morning when i went down to our laundry room to discover that the machines are currently non-functioning because the app we must use to pay them is down

all week I've been thinking this and assuming that I'm just not savvy enough to understand the Very Good Reasons why not both.

i cannot ask the CMs these questions to their faces this morning because I am at work earning minimum wage, but I did ask them these questions in an email last week 🫡

to the CMs who might like to cut transit in the name of affordability i ask: if you made minimum wage, would you rather pay $29 per year to ensure your bus gets you to work on time, or $40 on a lyft every time it doesn’t show up?

to the CMs who might like to cut transit service and/or increase spending on transit security i ask: have you considered that what makes someone feel safe and secure is *getting on a bus* instead of waiting in the dark and the rain for a bus that may or may not come in 20 minutes?

as someone living in seattle without a car and earning approximately 30% AMI, i will be happy to vote for this sales tax increase to fund and improve the transit services i rely on. the seattle times editorial board doesn't know jack about the affordability issues that impact me.

Folks if you haven’t heard, Pike Place is doing a night market this Thursday!! The street will be fully closed (emergency vehicles only) from 5pm to 10. Tons of businesses are participating—I’ll be peddling books at Lamplight. Come hang out, grab some food, say hi! 😃🌃
