The whole Jimothy thing is like, painfully Millennial-coded, he’s absolutely everywhere. People are selling merch of him and it’s barely been a damn week. If Ellen were still on the air I think she’d have had him on as a guest by now.

I didn’t see a raccoon in real life til I was in my 20s and they already kind of look like cartoons come to life to me for this reason. I also don’t see or think about raccoons daily. This may be rewiring my brain.

BTW that has to be the most stressful I-5 South entrance in the city - if you don’t want to go to Bellevue or West Seattle, entering there southbound requires multiple immediate merges left across to get out of Exit Only lanes. I don’t drive but even just as a passenger I hate getting on I-5 there.

Stopping at putting a bus lane here would have just made congestion worse, because a whole load of the traffic around there is just people driving to I-5, not trips that could easily be replaced by the 8 route. Re-routing the cars away from there entirely seems very productive.

My main gripe with putting a bus lane on Denny for the 8 has long been that it potentially disastrous without closing the I-5 entrance at Yale Ave. The one that funnels cars into direct conflict with peds, encourages crosswalk blocking, and of course contributes to major congestion. So, about time!
