If Scholten doesn't want to vote for El-Sayed, that's her choice. But by not standing beside him, she is assisting Republicans. And if she feels more common cause with them than her party's efforts to prevent Trump from destroying American democracy, well, then you know this wasn't about policy.

I'd add that I dont think El-Sayed is at all "anti-American" and that saying things like that about him is just gutter racism masquerading as acceptable discourse. Have policy disputes if you must, but unless someone is actively undermining US democracy, they're not "anti-American."
